The soil properties, especially the physical and biological, have improved because the organic matter increased.

The whole ecosystem has improved structurally (horizontally and vertically) as well as in diversity. New populations of plants and animals have appeared.

The ecosystem's functions have improved, since the restoration of the forest has improved the microclimate of the site (endo-forest environment).
